Getting used to the hub and the fact she was apart of the Battle Force 5 was hard to really grasp. Sage and Tezz kindfully created an metalic arm to function for LeeAnn's missing right arm after the incident saving Concord. The team really made her feel right at home giving her a basically new car, a new room, and a new start in her next chapter. No more traveling the country until later. She had a small obessession with traveling. There was so much to see and she planned on traveling to every state in the country then visit all the of the countries around the world like Japan, for her love of anime and asian culture, or England, for many other purposes. LeeAnn was unpacking her things as she paused looking at an old picture of Kai, herself, their lovely dog, Rex, and their ill mother. In many ways, she felt lost without this picture and lost all of them. Her mother to cancer. Her dog, Rex, to old age. And most of all her brother to fighting, they refuse to talk to each other. "I remembered that day, we went on a picnic on the beach. That was the day where the word sandwhich was not something you would want to eat" she smiled then laughed.

A sore heart she had with tender spots such as family and it was the reason why she came off so harsh and mean, was to hide those feelings from the rest of the world. Concord came in with a metallic leg as well. Both had lost a limb to the Vandals directly and indirectly. "Settled, crimson fury" he smiled. The comment from the creature made her tilt her head. That was a new nickname for her. "Yeah, of course Concord. Let's get something to eat" she said. The redhead walked around the hub for about fifteen minutes looking for the kitchen. This place was very big and she gotten lost really quick. Empty echoes throughout the halls with her converse touched the nanotech flooring. Her metalic arm pulsed and radiated with a weird glow of light blue energy that reminded her something off of an anime that was sci-fi. Of course, she was geeking out about this whole place.

"I think we're lost" she said, stopping. They were in some hallway that was endless. Concord gave her a look. "No. Really? What makes you think that, my dear LeeAnn" he said. The young redhead narrowed her eyes sharply while crossing her arms. The creature was an extremely sarcastic individual. There were doors on both sides that were probably the bedrooms to the Battle Force 5. She saw Tezz come out of one of the rooms. A grim look on his face that she had never seen before, he wasn't one to show emotion like that directly.

"Tezz, whats wrong" she asked. The Russian noticed the newbie wandering the halls with the three and a half limb creature that he and Stanford had saved from Vandal. "Uh...nothing just life. You know. What ever you do, don't go into that room. Lex needs some alone time" he said and walked away. His body language was clear that he was lying and not wanting to talk. The mention of the name Lex was new to her. She had heard about this guy before, but never knew him.

Sitting upside down on the couch in the lounge, she flipped through the channels. "There's nothing on...uuugggghhh...and I am sssooo bored. No one is around. They're either out on missions or doing somethign else" she said outloud. As she turned off the TV, she lied there staring at her own reflection in the flat screen. A image of a man with highlights with sore eyes shown in the flat screen reflection. She popped up from the couch to get a better image as she had never seen him before. "Dude, you okay?" she asked.

The man turned his head to her making straight eye contact. "Hm? I guess you can say that, lass" he said with a heavy irish accent, afterwards with a sigh. Something was bothering him. It was like her sixth sense, sensing how someone felt. Tezz acted weird as well eariler. She sat down in a proper position instead of sitting on her feet or knees. The man looked down in deep thought, she knew that look all too well. Very much. The thoughts of loosing her mother, her beloved pet, and in a sense, her brother. "Something's bothering you. I know that look way too well...my big brother, Kai, had it all the time. You wanna talk about it" she asked. The male said nothing, looking away trying hard not to cry.

"Crying is a good way to let it out, ya know? Concealing those emotions will not help. Its a way to heal pain. Trust me, I know" she smiled, "I'm LeeAnn Nakamura, the newest addition to the Battle Force 5." As a proper introduction and the constant bickering of Kai on manners, she held out her hand politely and with a warm smile to assuring happiness out of the man. A small smile shown on his lips and shook her hand. "Me name is Lex, Lex O'Rourke. Nice to meet ya, lass" he said. The introduction was small and simple.

LeeAnn knew exactly what happened. He had lost something. "You lost something dear to you" she said, bluntly.

A look of shock came from Lex's face. "How did ye know" he said shaky. LeeAnn wasn't told she just someone had a streak of luck on her side and knew this from experience. Deep in thought, she remember he mother's funeral and Kai changing since that day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silence was thick that night. I remembered Kai driving me home to pack my things and live with him until things gotten better. None of us spoke a word. My memory of that night was crystal, something I would never forget. Kai was always so positive and radiating with energy and that event in both of our lives had changed us both for the worse.
The car drove 110 miles per hour on the interstate. He wasn't one to break the rule and was always lawful good. Kai had a different look in his eyes as if his anger would snap and murder something. It still scares me to this day, something I wish to never encounter ever. "Kai slow down, you're going to get us both killed" I said. His hands tightened around the wheel.
"Maybe it would be best for both of us. Dead. That sounds great" he said in a steady silent angered tone. His foot pressed the accelerator as the car moved straight forward going nearly 145 miles per hour.
I was surprised no cop was chasing us. My fear of speed started right here. "Kai...KAI...STOP IT PLEASE...this is not going to bring mom back! KAI!! PLEASE....YOU CAN'T BRING HER BACK! YOU'RE NOT A GOD" I cried in tears. My heart split in two seeing how he was acting and scaring me. He pulled over to the side of the road putting on his hazard lights. He sat there and stared at the dashboard. His long honey colored hair that went a bit passed his shoulders, stood a bit in his eyes. "Get out of the car" he whispered.
"What?"
"Get out of the car now" he repeated, almost in a whisper. He did as he was told. I opened the car door as unbuckling my seat belt and then slammed the door shut. Kai did that same. Without a word, he walked over to me and held her by the chin with a firm grip. "Rule number one living under my roof baby sis is to never EVER talk back to me. Or else severe punishment will come" he said sternly.
I nodded my head. Roughly, he left go and got into the car.
LeeAnn sighed, she felt scared of Kai since then and always did the oppostie of what he said to push his buttons. It was the norm for siblings to do that much like the Cortez brothers. "That look in your eyes. I know it too well, my friend. I recently lost my mother two years ago, then my dog, and partly my brother in a way. My brother is still alive and well...I just feel like he...changed for the worse" she said with a sorrow look in her eyes. But she wiped it away with a small smile remembering that things will get better if she put one foot in front of the other.
"I'm sorry to hear that me friend. Ye lost a lot, havent ye" he asked.
LeeAnn nodded with a small smile. "Yes. But it's life. You win some and then you loose some. It takes time to heal all wounds. Trust me, I know" she said. LeeAnn gestured playfully to her metallic arm Sage and Tezz had kindly made for her.
"Time. The is zeh key" he repeated. Leeann placed her metallic hand on his shoulder. "Yes. Surround yourself with loved ones, Lex. I can tell by looking at these members that they have a really high opinion about you. Love is also another remedy. Both of those together, it will help you get used to things. Though, you can't get over it, but used to it. Something I need to learn as well" she smiled. Lex felt a bit better knowing someone could share his lost like many of the members, but LeeAnn had a special touch on this subject. Most would say "Sorry for your loss" or "They're in a better place" more sorry for you answers. Of course those were nice, but a talk with someone one on one if they were willing would be more helpful.
"Thank ye, lass. I feel a bit better" he thanked. LeeAnn smiled and nodded then laughed a little feeling better that she could help out. "That's what a team of for, right? No one can heal themselves alone, not even Sage" she smiled.
